[aprssig] A question ref APRS+SA AND D-700

A local associate has a D-700 hooked up in the vehicle and a GPS UNIT 
functioning properly to it.

He went to hook up a mobile computer to it and run APRS+SA and can not 
get the position reporting right.  Does APRS+SA not integrate the GPS 
data via the D-700, or will he have to hook the GPS to a second data 
port on the computer?
