I did not know that. But I've been playing with MacAPRS since 96 so I know it's been an important part of APRS. Should have been called MacAPRS for Windows. I ran the local iGate with MacAPRS for a few years before setting up aprsd. Now my iGate and regional server are back on Macintosh on my Xserve G4 running javAPRSSrvr on OSX. -- Dennis Hudson, N2LBT Sysop APRSALY http://n2lbt.com:14501 Albany, NY On Dec 13, 2004, at 8:33 PM, Steve Dimse wrote: > On 12/13/04 at 7:31 PM Dennis Hudson <n2lbt at spamcop.net> sent: > >> second.aprs.net <running on a mac cool! > > Perhaps you didn't know the original APRS IS hub was Mac-only, aprsd > didn't come > along for perhaps a year or two after APRServ, and javAPRSSrvr is a > relative > newcomer, but deservedly the key to the hub system now.
