Following the links on the Radio Mobile site to the Shuttle Radar
Topography Mission (SRTM) archive (this is one of and likely the most
accurate and detailed data set available for use with Radio Mobile - at
least for us US types - 1 arc second resolution - US only), I find this
little notice:

Attention SRTM data users:

Research grade SRTM "unfinished" data has been moved and is no longer
available from this FTP site. Effective December 1, 2004, these data
may continued to be obtained free of charge using FTP at the following
URL. ftp://e0dps01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/

The direct link to the US 1 arc sec archive is:
ftp://e0dps01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/United_States_1arcsec/1arcsec/

The link in the notice appears to have links for places other than the
US - but at courser resolutions(? see below).

(More I poke around on this server, the more I find - for those not in
the US, be sure to check out ftp://e0dps01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/SRTM30/ -
from first glance of the documentation, it looks to me like there're
saying 1 arc sec data is there for most of the globe(?) YMMV
