John, thanks. You're right.... the 30 vs 28 wont filter the crazy moving mobile. And glad you are trying SSn-N. The neat thing about it is that a digi can try SSn-N without any impact on WIDEn-N if he wants by just swapping it for UITRACE. Thought the whole advantage of it, however, is in actually getting rid of the WIDEn-N that is presumably brining in too much junk. Bob >>> ve3nec at sympatico.ca 12/20/04 9:09 PM >>> Hi Bob, I'm not sure that this is really the way to go (verses education). Some thoughts leap to mind. 1) I believe that Marco's code looks for "exact" dups; which of course a mobile tracker will not give. No match, and it's repeated. 2) Remember that we have on 32K of RAM to play with, and a lot of that is gone for the base code, and other buffers; So, for a busy digipeater, extending the time, may cause additional grief. (I'll look into this one further, once the holiday are behind us.) I think it's FIFO, but I'd like to run some tests before making any statements. We're also testing our a "LAN" for the big machines in S. Ontario. We're using "SONT n-n" to see if that improves things. ("We" being Phil VE3RD and myself, BTW.) vy 73 de John VE3NEC 905-877-7886 _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig
