Most of the HF use of winlink is the user using HF and Airmail. Using HF and Airmail you could connect to any one of the 44 or so winlink PMBO's (winlink bbs's) scattered around the world . If you were in an area that had no internet connections from whatever disaster, you could use HF and send email style messages to anyone from HF by connecting to a PMBO that does have an internet connection.
