Humh, are we using the same language here..?

Phil responds:
>Wrong, very wrong! There are little things called IGates.
>I have much sucess with using them throughout the world.
>I have had much success with my D7 passing messages
>back home to So. Cal using nothing more than RELAY,WIDE

That missed 2 important concepts:
1) my comments applied to *multiple hops on RF*
2) My comments are talking about "messages" in the
context of very long emergency traffic and very large
files of data. Which cannot work on APRS channels.

Your examples of one-liner D7 messages is quite
different. Yes, The one-liner APRS messages work
and work well and the IGate system works and works
well. ANd that is what APRS is designed to do WELL.

But you cannot use them to pass bulk "messages" and
bulk emails and bulk files from RF on 144.39 in typical
busy areas. which is what we are talking about here.
