Concerning Julian's PalmIII attached to the back of a 
Yeasu HT as an alternative to the TH-D7 where he
forgot about the TNC:

If I can read between the lines, I think that Julian may have
become so accustomed to operating his PalmIII attached
to his D7 (with built-in TNC) that he overlooked the
advantage of the internal TNC when he thought about
using the PalmIII on another HT.
