I have had many rigs in vehicles in the cold weather and none of them including the Kenwood TM-D700 seem to have been bothered by the cold, except that the display gets a bit slow. I am talking about temperatures routinely down to 20 below zero and sometime down to near 40 below. The knobs get stiff and don't work well till the vehicle warms up but no harm to the rig. 73 Dick VE4QK
