APRSdata is a program that sends out a Satellite Object locally whenever an AMSAT that is workable from your mobile FM rig is in view. Typically on the front panel of your D700, you will see: - The satellite name - the up and downlink frequencies plus doppler - the distance and direction to the satellite - and the direction of movement of the satellite. All you need to QSY your mobile rig and work the satellite. APRSdata has been around since about 1998 or so. It only takes one person to run it in a large region so that everyone can take advantage of this service while mobile. See http://web.usna.navy.mil/~bruninga/satinfo.html de Wb4APR, Bob
