But there are already HUNDREDS of these web references out there... Some that still say WIDE7-7,TRACE7-7 is an appropriate path. 73s, Eric KF4OTN -----Original Message----- From: aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of Tim Cwik Sent: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 11:40 To: TAPR APRS Mailing List Subject: Re: [aprssig] Worst Path of the Day There is a small distinction between "fix the problem" and "solve the problem". The problem is users enter an incorrect path. If that is changed, nothing else has to be done. Changing findu, changing igates, adding extra, new software "fixes" (hides) the problem but does not solve it. Imposing enforcement poilicies at an Igate or digi eliminates the possibility to be flexible in a specific situation in the future. Several people have pointed out that there is bad information being distributed in some areas by local "experts". If we have an easy to understand web reference to point people to, that may help.
