[aprssig] TM-271A for 9600 baud?

I'm looking for a basic 2-meter mobile rig to play with 9600 a bit.  The
TM-271A is the least expensive model I can find that's got a mini-DIN data
connector.  Has anyone here used this rig for 9600 baud packet and/or 1200
baud APRS?  Any suggestions on other rigs I might consider?
