By *no* means are any of us "limited" to using the AX.25
protocol ! (Mind you, to this day, it's still pretty
popular.) But you're quite right, after some 30 years, it
is "old" (ditto, me) :(

In fact, it high time for a bright young "spark" to come
up with something more efficient !

Humm, let's see ... we have "synchronous" stream, and we
have supressed carrier, SSB - that give you any ideas of
what can be done in the future ?
