[aprssig] troubleshoot MFJ-1270B?

Note sure if this will help but I have been working on
an MFJ1278. When I powered up the TNC it did just as
you described. It took me a while to figure out what
was going on. It turned out to be that the TNC was in
KISS mode when last used. Hope this helps.
