It made the news in the Phoenix area. They did mention it was 700' from top to bottom. It's a big one! I can still see it here in Parker, AZ (western AZ). Evening TV In Albuquerque said it is a scientific research balloon launched from Ft. Sumner, NM. Big sucker. I think they said it was 400' diameter, capable of a multi-ton payload. It was at 125,000' around 22:00 MDT last night (Thursday), near the AZ-NM border, still in sunlight. I was not listening as closely as I should have. I might have some details wrong.
