To help collect info on the use of 144.99 for an alternate APRS input channel, I have prepared a file that lists all reported uses of 144.99 across the country. http://www.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/aprs/alt-99digis.txt Please consider checking on the frequency in your area and reporting. QSY your packet system there overnight for several days and see if you collect any existing packet activity. You might also consider transmitting a "Is this frequency in use" packet say once every 2 minutes for a day or so (less than 1% of channel capacity). Include your Email address in case anyone see's you... In the future, so you can find my links to this 144.99 stuff, I have added it to the usual APRS errata web page: http://www.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/aprs/errata.html Thanks de WB4APR, Bob
