[aprssig] Router/firewalls

Greetings, all.
I just got a javaAPRSSrvr up and running and I have run out of ports in my
Linksys befsr41 for port forwarding, so I am looking for options.
I have heard of blowing a hacked version of linux to the wpc54g, and I would
like to know if anyone has heard of anything for the befsr41 and if they
have had any luck.
Alternatively, what has anyone used for an advanced firewall/router,
specifically software based on a pc?
