The problem is that "RELAY" doesn't trigger the duplicate packet suppression code in the hardware that's on most of the "big" digipeaters. RELAY is no big deal if a home station is the only one that hears it, but most of the time a big digi will hear it, which will result in duplicate copies of that packet chewing up bandwidth. -Jason kg4wsv
