I operate airmobile frequently with a path of WIDE1-1 and WIDE2-2 alternating on my TT. I get very good coverage at 1,000 feet and up. I would NEVER operate airmobile with RELAY in the path. Why not just use WIDE1-1 at high altitude and WIDE2-2 at low altitude? 73 de Joe N3HGB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jason Winningham" <jdw at eng.uah.edu> To: "TAPR APRS Mailing List" <aprssig at lists.tapr.org> Sent: Monday, April 04, 2005 7:56 AM Subject: Re: [aprssig] BALLOON unproto paths > What is an appropriate altitude for switching to a short (like empty, zero > hop) path in a balloon?
