I see that many of the commercial TNC manufacturers are using the AX.25 protocol for commercial use. Does anyone have any information on the legality of this? I know that APRS is an amateur only system that uses AX.25, but apparently the AX.25 protocol is open for use in the land mobile frequemcies assuming they are licensed for that frequency. Can anyone provide details or verification of this? It sure seems like there are many opportunities to use this in AVL and other commercial tracking systems using a predefined specification and it appears Kantronics and others are doing it. Thanks in advance, Michael - KC0EXP __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Personals - Better first dates. More second dates. http://personals.yahoo.com
