Yes, that was the problem with the old RELAY,WIDEn-N path for the last many years. It works perfectly when the only digi it hits is the initial RELAY. But all the other 95% of the time that that mobile is driving around and IS in good digi coverage, he is being heard by many RELAYS at the same time (all digis also support RELAY) and so his single packet generates from 2 to 5 dupes at EVERY digi that hears him. This is what has been killing APRS reliability in many areas for many years... and what we are solving by changing RELAY,WIDEn-N to WIDE1-1,WIDEn-N... works exactly the same way, but does not have the 2 to 5 dupes for every packet.
