Does anyone have a list of current radios that have the standard 6 pin data plug? -- William McKeehan KI4HDU Internet: mckeehan at mckeehan.homeip.net http://mckeehan.homeip.net -----Original Message----- From: aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org] On Behalf Of Earl Needham Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 2005 9:14 AM To: TAPR APRS Mailing List Subject: Re: [aprssig] Suitable radios At 06:23 AM 8/16/2005, Keith Kotch wrote: >I want to replace the HT/amp arrangement I now have with a small mobile >radio for a mobile APRS station. > >The TNC is a KPC 3+. Mark mentioned the Phoenix, and I have one at the house that's been operating 24/7 for years. Works very well. A little over a year ago, my favorite was stolen -- the Yaesu FT-1500M. I think they've been discontinued, but they're selling on Ebay for between $100 and $200. At closeout, they were selling for around $140 or less, so you might look there for one of those. It's only a radio, doesn't include a TNC. 7 3 Earl Earl Needham, KD5XB, Clovis, New Mexico DM84jk http://kd5xb-2.no-ip.info _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig
