This gives one hop per digi everywhere, but gives two hops radius when it is on the ground. The reason it is OK at altitude is because WIDEn-N has perfect dupe elimination, and so although every digi will hear it once and digipeat it once, all these digis will then ignore any other copies they might hear. But when the payload lands on the ground, then it only hits the closest digi and then the next tier of digis will hear only the second hop. This assists in receovery. ABSOLUTELY NEVER USE ANY PATH IN A BALLOON: THAT BEGINS WITH RELAY or WIDE! But using WIDE2-2 works perfectly everywhere under the New N system and is great for receovery... de Wb4APR, Bob
