Does the SAME data put out over NOAA weather radio contain a full alert feed, such as the Igate system currently puts out on RF? SAME is described here: http://weather.gov/nwr/nwrsame.htm Does anyone know of a decoder circuit for SAME? Google didn't help me. It seems to me that, if NOAA is transmitting this data over the 162.xxx channels, it wouldn't take a lot of work to gateway this data onto APRS-RF. After looking at the technical specs I would hazard a guess that using a NOAA receiver, a small board with an XR2211, and some new firmware for an X-track, OpenTracker, or TT one could have a computer-less internet-less local weather alert feed for APRS. -Jason kg4wsv
