I am using a cheap on sale Linspire( linux) Whole computer for $100.00 on sale at Fry's. A great computer for the price. These are cheap from Walmart and others. If ham radio stuff works on them it is a good way to get into Linux cheap. If ham radio programs works on only one type of Linux, Linux is dead for Ham Raidio. I am keeping one $10000 lisnpire in use for my E mail and ham radio programs if they ever become available. And have a enough documentation to make them work.
