Seriously,

I use +SA in mobile/portable ops (such as public service events) when I 
need the improved maps and messaging capability over what the D-700 
gives me.

Using APRS DOS at home station as the maps are sufficient and it runs on 
cheap ($0) hardware and is STABLE!.
