Hi Richard,

Yes, we get some of them up here into the Chicagoland area also, and why 
a WIDEn digipeater has to ID with a 5-5 is curious. I think it is 
strictly an ego thing, like when the FM repeaters came along, everyone 
had to have one, and be heard too! <g> It could be the lack of education 
I guess.
