Too much trouble when stations are continuously coming and going. It was simple to create a controlled CWxxxx-to-RF widget simply by filtering locally on the Lat/Long. Now, with the improved rules at the APRS-IS feeds, it's possible to receive (and thus gate) only the objects of local interest. Anybody gating everything where it's not appreciated such as a busy 144.39 region will certainly be educated by their local users. There are other places, and frequences, where it will be a good thing. Don't prevent the good just to try and elminate potential problems that can be resolved with education. 73, Bill - WA7NWP
