The domain is registered to 'Itinc Developments Pty Ltd', contact is Mike Norman. Specs say it's 1200 baud, synchronous, 16-bit CRC-CCITT. Nothing surprising there. No idea what a 'worldwide provisional patent' might be, or where you'd look it up. Guys... A company here in Oz has set up a company called WARPS... Wireless Automated Response Positioning System, and has, according to http://www.warps.com.au/what_is_warps.pdf got themselves a 'World Wide Provisional Patent' for their technology that sounds very much like MIC-E. Does someone want to chase up what they are claiming? Even their business name suggests that they are basing their technology on APRS Darryl --------- Darryl Smith, VK2TDS POBox 169 Ingleburn NSW 2565 Australia Mobile Number 0412 929 634 [+61 4 12 929 634 Int] - 02 9618 6459 www.radio-active.net.au/blog/ - www.radio-active.net.au/web/tracking/ _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig
