This is definitely becoming true in Southern Maryland.  Now that most of the
digi's around here have switched over, the silence on 144.39 is sometimes
deafening.  It used to be wall to wall packet burps.  My mobile (only 5w)
gets digipeated now in areas that used to be holes.
