FInally got around to putting the External
Keyboard kit for the D700 into a box and putting 
it in my "go" kit for events. 

This kit by John Hansen simply plugs into the
mic-jack of the D700 and lets you use any
PS-2 type keyboard to type in D700 messages.
The eliminates the need for a laptop in the
car while still letting you rapidly send messges
via the APRS backchannel during events.
