Using just a KPC is a very inefficient way to do APRS.  In order to get 
position, speed, heading, altitude, and a comment a KPC 3 must transmit 
3 separate packets: 2 NMEA sentences and a comment - only packet.  What 
you're seeing is the comment packet being overwritten by a position 
packet.

Let APRSdos (or anything other than the KPC3) do the position 
transmission for you, if at all possible.
