I have emailed all the major radio manufacturers, and never even received a 'thank you for your feedback' type form letter. Their American sites seem to be just resellers, and the corporate sites apparently don't talk to Americans. The one manufacturer I've actually had any kind of good contact with is Ten-Tec. If they sold 2 meter radios, I'd buy one.
