The advantage of writing a real, native service is that you get logging in Event Viewer, and that it'll handle service control requests more cleanly. Pretty much all a wrapper can do is start and stop a program - I haven't seen one that'll handle pause and continue requests, for example. Still, a service wrapper beats the heck out of running it on the desktop. Scott N1VG
