I'll keep dreaming then.

Some will change because something better comes along.  Others will
change because their old equipment dies.  It's just a matter of
time.  If APRS lasts long enough all the hardware will be different
than it is now.

Think longer-term and hope that the short-term changes will keep it
living/breathing until we can get there.
