Thanks Jason,

That method would seem to do it.. I have in fact used the setting to 
stop the interruptions on the Voice side and forgot that it could be 
used in this situation. Now where is the manual I misplaced? 
Fortunately, I downloaded the pdf's from Kenwood just in case...
