Ah yes been here APRS for the first two Talk to the radio and get signal levels for no 3 sound card for number 4 ----------------------------------------- Andrew Rich - VK4TEC vk4tec at tech-software.net <mailto:vk4tec at tech-software.net> www.tech-software.net Brisbane AUSTRALIA -----Original Message----- From: aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at lists.tapr.org]On Behalf Of Jim Lux Sent: Monday, 7 November 2005 3:51 AM To: aprssig at lists.tapr.org Subject: [aprssig] solutions sought for monitoring idea I'm interested in setting up some sort of logging system that does the following: Records timestamped packets received over the air Records timestamped positions Records signal levels Potentially down the road, records the off-the-air audio for later analysis (i.e. looking at collisions) A standard TNC and a GPS could probably do the first two, trivially, by just spewing the two serial data streams into a text file The third one (levels) is a bit trickier. So, I've been thinking along the lines of a PCR1000 (which can provide level over the RS232 interface) and a software decoder of the packets, possibly with some way to shoot the data (when the receiver unsquelches) into WAV or AU or raw files. Any other ideas? Jim, W6RMK _______________________________________________ aprssig mailing list aprssig at lists.tapr.org https://lists.tapr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aprssig
