Such rumors without qualifications are missleading.
The radio and TNC are perfect for APRS which they
were designed for.  Its what I use in the shack.

The TNC should not be expected to do CONNECTED
packet or anything other than APRS very well, since
it can only do one packet at a time. (such as APRS).
