The code I was writing was for my own testing purposes, but I made it look 
like the KPC-3 in case the HamHUD folks ever want to try it out.

It's probably not even fully KPC-3 compliant...

I noticed there also doesn't seem to be any consistency in whether or not 
packets have a trailing carriage return.  I'm guessing that's mostly a 
'feature' of the converse-mode TNCs.
