Could it have been a corrupted packet ?

Just picked up an EMERGENCY beacon via I-net from Kevin's xastir station.

Looked up and called what dexonline.com reports as his home phone number.
First person to answer was apparently not able to communicate well - never
did make any sense out of that. A younger sounding female took the phone
and said there was no one living there by that name. Thinking I'd
mis-dialed the number, called back. Same result.

Is there anyone in Houston that knows Kevin and could check up on him?
