[aprssig] Serial port to USB question

For those that manufacture stuff...

Check out FTDI's website. http://www.ftdichip.com/

They make and sell chip's chipsets' and adapters you can add to existing
serial equipped devices, to give them a USB port, for use with the
modern crop of PC's. The prices are good too. Full hardware handshake
(and ability to power devices from them) too.

Good support world wide also...

I'm a happy user, that is all, no commercial attachment to them in any
way.
