That's what I meant.  THe main component of a 
full rectified power supply is twice the AC frequency.

"50Hz hum" won't trigger a 100Hz CTCSS system.  Significant PSU ripple (100Hz) may.

Using 100 HZ tone in europe, do you hear many
squelch mistakes due to 50 Hz hum on some systems?

ham in Europe using Alert Voice because never I contacted  an other ham
