If you email them and say 'why doesn't this > work with my GPS?' will they actually respond? Probably so... I haven't had to call Kenwood for any help on mine. The D700 manual has detailed instruction on how to hook up the GPS and as long as it puts out NMEA @ 4800, it should work. I know that they probably won't help you with any APRS clients programs! I think most problems now are there are so many different GPS' on the market (with DB9's etc) that its making hooking up harder. Also Trimble 450's have a Config program that you have to run to get NMEA All the Garmins I have hooked up (II,II+,III,III+,GPS120), the data cables were bare when made installation a snap. And really all you need is the ground and TX from the GPS is you don't want all those waypoints flooding back to your GPS. I had that problem with the Garmins... getting the data FROM the D700 populating my waypoints in the GPS. -- ...DOUG KD4MOJ
