Some aircraft are 28 volt (usually higher end which have a higher
electrical load).  Some are 12 volt.  It is definitely something for
anyone doing an aircraft installation to consider.  There are, however,
a number of 28 volt to 12 volt converters which provide support 12v
devices and many devices support 28 volt.
