if you like small and light - Pocket Tracker and a
small lo power GPS is really hard to beat.
Pros:  inexpensive, lightweight.  

Cons:  low power output ~300 mW, and is transmit only,
no reciever.  The cons can be addressed by time
slotting and using a good antenna.  

A huge factor in the desicion is is it vehicle mobile,
or foot mobile?
