I received this explanation from Bob: ~~ ANy station that sends a position comment of custom-6 from his D7 or D700 will be considered as requesting these updates. So the original station has to change his position comment to anything other than custom 6. %52 means speak "HIGH" or "LOW" just as an indication of elevation angle. ~~ This clarifies the origination of the packets. I remember reading this in the documentation now. Again, to help you out, I am going to put RFONLY in the path of the APRSData box so that should keep the packets out of the APRS-IS.
