The APRS IS welcomes ALL data from local RF networks (with the sole
exception of third party packets to prevent looping). This has been
the official policy since its creation many years ago. If it is of
interest to a local ham, it should be on the network.
If you intend to be an APRS programmer, you need to understand the
underlying philosophy of the parts of APRS, and fit your code to that
philosophy, not make unilateral pronouncements that try to change the
rules top make your life a little easier!
