When in these areas, QSY your uplink to
145.99 via ARISS.  At least FINDU will
get you every 1.5 hours or so for 10

Eastern Colorado,... has no coverage at all.  
NB until you get to Lincoln-Omaha is a black hole
KS -  Activity in KC-Topeka -Wichita corridor; 
very little west of there until you get to Denver.
SD - Almost nothing except an island around  Sioux Falls
