I'm in the Kansas City area and can report that coverage in central, southern, and eastern Kansas is very good, as is coverage in western, southern, eastern, and central Missouri. As others have mentioned, coverage will be better closer to the larger cities and main corridors. There are a lot of I-gates, so a two-hop path is more than enough in most areas to get your reports to show up on findu.com. A significant portion of the network has converted to the new WideN-n paradigm, so a path of WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 should work fine, although since you'll potentially be away from the denser APRS areas you may want to use WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2. -Jerome, W0JRT --- Tyler Allison <tyler at allisonhouse.com> wrote: >... > One major concern is none of us hams in the group > have run an APRS tracker > in the plains so we are leary of the coverage. >... __________________________________ Yahoo!
