Hi All,

Well it seems another commercial venture is adapting APRS capability to bring 
real time tracking directly to your home computer! If you happen to be out 
sailing or fishing your ‘stay at home family' can track you! What I am finding 
hard to believe is the range Sea Smart is claiming. In one release they claimed 
upwards of 100 miles offshore!

I quote from their web site: 
"Using your VHF radio's existing DSC technology, Sea Smart lets you make 
local and long distance calls right from your boat. It also provides real-time, 
Web-based information on your boat's exact location, so the folks back home are

Sure seems like the amateurs that made it work should get some acknowledgment.
