I am also looking at windows updater - it restarts often ----------------------------------------- Andrew Rich Amateur radio callsign VK4TEC email: vk4tec at tech-software.net <mailto:vk4tec at tech-software.net> web: http://www.tech-software.net Brisbane AUSTRALIA -----Original Message----- From: Michael Harla [mailto:michael.harla at gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, 22 April 2006 10:06 AM To: vk4tec at tech-software.net; TAPR APRS Mailing List Subject: Re: [aprssig] Windows re-booting Andrew, In Event Viewer | System, the "Information | eventlog" entry that reads "Microsoft (R) Windows (R) [version number] [version name] Uniprocessor Free" indicates that the OS has (re-)started. A couple - three years ago, it was the Blaster virus, I think, that was causing reboots, but recently we have seen this problem with our Blaster-patched Win2000 machines at work (only 2000, not XP). Hope this helps, altho it doesn't really identify a cause or cure.
